If you’re on social media, you may be seeing a huge increase in people interacting with AI. Videos are popping up with people using AI to render themselves in different genres of art, interacting with software like ChatGPT, Dall-E, or Jasper. These new interactions don’t even include the AI that we use everyday! You have Siri hiding on your phone, along with Google or Alexa devices in your house. These leaps in AI intelligence and discovery is advancing technology at full force. These new features can help someone write articles, draw pictures, create code, and one of the most exciting things we’ve recently seen is an experimental dev group creating a complete anime using just AI!

But the flurry of tech jargon around AI is enough to confuse anyone. Terms like Deep Learning or Machine Intelligence seem self explanatory …. but can you explain it if someone asked? We understand these new discoveries can be confusing, so we’re here to help define the tech talk!

Chatbot – a chatbot is a messaging app that replicates human-to-human conversation. Just interact with the AI normally, and the chatbot will respond the same way. ChatGPT is a chatbot that is free to access if you want to experiment with the Chatbox AI.

Deep learning this technology learns from data in a similar fashion to how the human brains works. Current tools use algorithms to optimize search results, but deep learning AI programmed to filter through concepts and conversations in the real-world. The AI learns and updates to provide human-like responses.

Machine intelligence – This is a term to categorize the terms for machine learning, deep learning, and conventional algorithms.

Natural Language Understanding (NLU) – This helps AI understand the meaning of what humans say, even if we make grammatical errors or speak with different regional accents.

Weak AI – This is probably the most widely used form of AI at the moment. Weak AI will usually focus on a single objective. This includes writing a blog, or repurposing video content.
